I have been searching on whose basic movement Cartier used for this series 960xxx because I initally did not watch to send my watch to Cartier in NY for overhaul due to high cost ($495). So far, three Cartier with serial number started with 960xxxxx seem to have the same movement. No picture on their website, I could not confirm the movement but assumed that it is same as mine and the other watch I found since it has 17 jewels. Christie's listed it's watch as hallmarked import of 1975. Both are 17 jewels, same exact layout.Д¬hristie's in it's June 9th, 2005 auction in London also shows a Tank LC # 960100713, again listed as 17 jewels movement. Bothe signed Cartier (at different locations). Please observe that the movement is identical to mine. It listed a SOLD, 1960s Tank with serial number on the back strating with 960xxxxx, same first three digits as mine but with hand stamped numbers (mine is machine engraved).
